Description:

Strong Unix Development experience using Github, Chef Habitat packages with Unix shell and scripts and other programming languages to build necessary tools to Support application migration efforts to Google Cloud Platform. Some of the work includes managing user accounts, sudo access, file system management, application installation and so on. Candidate will work in a team with 10+ senior Unix admins to support large number of Suse and Redhat servers with 24×7 oncall rotation and staggered work hours. Day-to-day operations will include troubleshooting, shadow sessions, script development, application package development and process documentation. Candidate might be asked to work and resolve request/ incident/problem tickets and resolve application and/or hardware related issues. This is purely a dev/ops engineering position and requires strong handson experience.

Skills Required:

• 5+ years unix development/scripting and GUI experience with multiple languages: Bash, Ruby, Perl, Python, TCL, Javascript, PHP, and markup languages and data interchange specifications: HTML5, JSON, XML, and Web services to manipulate Web resources with focus on REST API and other API Development
• 5+ years Suse and/or RedHat at a Senior Systems Admin level Strong
• 2+ years of development experience on Google Cloud Platform and/or other cloud platforms Must be able to demonstrate an Automation mindset and provide working examples where you have been a primary designer, developer and implementor. 

Experience Preferred:

• Strong hands-on experience with DevOps Toolsets: Tekton, Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Habitat, Github, Rally, Confluence, Jira, Slack and other Google cloud development and migration tools Suse Certification RedHat Certification hands-on experience with Container(s) Any experience in AI/ML/DL
• 3+ years of experience as a developer using Google Cloud Platform (and related toolset) and/or Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms with necessary tools Strong understanding of Active Directory and DNS technology and operation
• 5+ years of Operations experience at a large enterprise including ITIL processes 

Education Required:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualifications
